Accelerated Reader

Lafayette has a school-wide reading assessment software program called Accelerated Reader. Accelerated Reader (AR) provides a way of monitoring part of the reading students do. A simple factual recall assessment plus a record of the books each student has read helps teachers encourage and direct students' reading experiences.

These books can be borrowed from the school or public library. The over 2,700 fiction and non-fiction works are listed in this database. Search by Title or Author and sort by Title, Author or Reading level by clicking on the column header. Note that the Authors are in order by their first name, as they are listed in Accelerated Reader. Talk to your child's teacher to learn his or her current reading level.
