Room 21 - Mr. Schroeder

Greg A. Schroeder- 4^th Grade – Lafayette Elementary 

I’m really excited to be teaching the fourth grade spectrum class at Lafayette Elementary.  I’ve enjoyed living in West Seattle for the past five years with my wife and two young daughters.  I think West Seattle is an outstanding community and I’m glad to be a part of it. 

I have a BSBA in Marketing from the University of Arizona and a Masters in Teaching from the University of Washington.  My previous teaching experience includes 2 years teaching English at Kumjong Middle School in South Korea and six years teaching third and fourth grade at Thorndyke Elementary School in Tukwila. 

My goal as a teacher is to foster students to become academically, socially and emotionally well balanced.  I enjoy teaching math and like to focus on problem solving and critical thinking skills.  I like to integrate my curriculum as much as possible to help students see the connections between the various subjects they study.
