Regina Baleto-Ferguson, Grade 3, Lafayette Elementary

I am thrilled to join the Lafayette school community! I was raised in West Seattle and presently reside in the neighborhood with my family. Working where you live has many perks. I enjoy the local restaurants, boutiques, and the beach. So if you see me playing sand volleyball on Alki, please stop and say hello!

I earned my undergraduate degree at the University of Washington and recently completed the Master’s in Curriculum and Instruction through the University of Phoenix online program. I began my teaching career in the Shoreline School District. Several years later, I lived abroad on the island of Guam and worked in the Department of Defense schools. For the past seven years, I have been employed in Seattle Public Schools.

I believe in creating a comfortable and safe learning environment. I encourage my students to engage in conversation, hands-on exploration, and striving to be their best. Integrating movement and music in my class is also a priority to enhance my teaching and students’ learning.
